Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Lingopundit Classroom at classroom.lingopundit.com and when you buy the Classroom or Live Practice. By creating an account or paying, you agree to them. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy policy.
The Classroom is run by Lingopundit, owned by Chakshu Bansal, VIP Road, Zirakpur, Punjab 140608, India. You can reach us any time at contact@lingopundit.com. Our Grievance Officer is Chakshu Bansal (same address and email).
Who can use the Classroom
You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy a course yourself. If the student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create the account and make the purchase, agrees to these terms on the child’s behalf, and is responsible for the child’s use of the Classroom, including the doubt community.
What you can buy
Classroom: a self-paced German course for one level (A1, A2 or B1), with video classes, lesson notes and interactive exercises. You get 6 months of access from the day your access starts.
Live Practice: a live group class with a Lingopundit trainer on Google Meet, Monday to Friday, 45 minutes a day. It runs for 9 weeks for A1 and A2 and 10 weeks for B1 (the B1 batches have no classes from 25 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, the Christmas and New Year break; the classes missed are held afterwards), in groups of at most 10 students. Each level has a morning and an evening batch; you choose one when you buy.
You can also buy both together for one level, which costs ₹3,000 less than buying them separately. The saving is only available when you buy both in the same purchase.
Prices and payment
All prices are in Indian rupees (INR), per level, and are shown again on the checkout page before you pay.
| Level | Classroom (6 months) | Live Practice | Both together |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | ₹8,000 | ₹11,000 (9 weeks) | ₹16,000 |
| A2 | ₹8,000 | ₹12,000 (9 weeks) | ₹17,000 |
| B1 | ₹8,000 | ₹14,000 (10 weeks) | ₹19,000 |
Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
Paying by invoice: If you cannot pay on our website, for example from outside India, you can create an invoice on our invoice page and pay it by bank transfer in Indian rupees. An invoice is a request for payment, not a receipt: your place is confirmed, and your access starts, only once the full amount has reached our bank account, and we confirm this by email. Bank, intermediary and currency conversion charges are yours. An invoice is due 7 days after it is created; one that is not paid by then lapses, and its number stays on our records as not paid. The same terms apply as to a purchase on the website.
When your access starts
- Classroom: A1 and A2 open on 12 October 2026 and B1 on 1 November 2026. If you buy before that day, your 6 months start on the opening day. If you buy later, they start on the day you buy.
- Live Practice: A1 and A2 batches start on 19 October 2026 and B1 batches on 2 November 2026. You join every class from the Classroom, where the Join button appears 15 minutes before the class; each class has its own Google Meet link. You also get a confirmation on WhatsApp.
Class times are fixed in India time (morning 12:30 to 1:15 pm, evening 10:00 to 10:45 pm IST). In European time they move by one hour when Europe changes to winter time on 25 October 2026 (from 9:00 to 8:00 am and from 6:30 to 5:30 pm).
Occasionally a class may move because of a public holiday or a trainer change. We will tell you in advance whenever that happens.
Using your account
- One person per account. Your account is for you alone.
- One device per account. Your account works on the device you first use. If you change device, contact support; a device can be reset at most once in 6 months.
- Video classes: no limit until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027 each video class can be played up to 3 times during your access; plays before that day are not counted (see Beta).
- Notes and exercises: no limits. Use them as often as you like while your access lasts.
- Do not share your login, and do not record, screenshot, copy or pass on the videos, notes or exercises. Pages carry a watermark with your details.
- If an account is shared or the content is passed on, we close the account without a refund.
Beta: courses still being built
The A1, A2 and B1 Classroom courses are in beta: we are still adding lessons and testing the Classroom. While a level is in beta, the following applies to everyone who buys its Classroom, alone or together with Live Practice. Before you pay, the checkout shows you this notice and asks you to agree to it; we keep a record of that agreement and send you a copy in your confirmation email.
- What is ready. At least half of the course is ready on the day your access starts, so you can begin at once. The remaining lessons are added as we finish them.
- Extra access. Your 6 months of access are extended by every day from the day your access starts until the day we declare the course complete. We will not take longer than one month from the day your access starts.
- When the course is complete we email you, with the number of extra days and your new end date.
- Video classes. There is no limit on how often you play a video class until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027 each video class can be played up to 3 times; nothing you played before that day is counted.
- Feedback. We are still testing, so we welcome your feedback on anything that does not work as it should.
These beta terms also apply to anyone who bought a Classroom before this notice was added to the checkout. The 7-day money-back guarantee is not affected.
One-to-one coaching
- What it is: Private 45-minute online sessions with Chakshu, planned around your goal: any level from A1 to B2, exam preparation, speaking practice or anything else you need. One-to-one coaching is booked after a consultation and paid for before the first session.
- Consultation: Every booking starts with a 20-minute consultation, which costs ₹500. You choose a time and pay to confirm it; a slot that is not paid for within 20 minutes is released. If you go on to book one-to-one coaching, the ₹500 is taken off your first payment. The consultation fee is not refundable, but you can move the consultation to another time before it starts.
- Prices: A single session costs ₹2,400. When you book 15 or more sessions at once, each session costs ₹2,000; from 25 sessions ₹1,900; from 35 sessions ₹1,800. Packs are booked in steps of 5 sessions only (5, 10, 15, 20 and so on), at the rate of the pack reached: 20 sessions cost ₹2,000 each, 30 sessions ₹1,900 each. The rate depends on the number of sessions booked at once; sessions added later are a new booking at the rate for their own number.
- Agree your sessions before you pay: Before you pay for one-to-one coaching, by invoice or in any other way, you must have agreed the dates, times and number of your sessions with Chakshu, normally in your consultation. A payment does not reserve any session time that was not agreed beforehand. If you pay without that agreement, your sessions are scheduled in times that are free when we hear from you, and the pack's validity and other rules on this page apply as usual.
- Moving up to a bigger pack: Before your fifth session you can move up to a bigger pack by paying the difference between what you paid and the price of the bigger pack.
- Schedule: Sessions take place Monday to Friday at times agreed with you. A pack needs at least 2 sessions a week. A pack is valid for 6 weeks for every 10 sessions, counted from your first session (15 sessions: 9 weeks; 25 sessions: 15 weeks; 35 sessions: 21 weeks). Sessions not taken by the end of that time expire.
- Moving a session: Tell us at least 4 hours before a session starts and we move it to a new time within the next 2 working days, usually your own next slot, with your later sessions moving back by one. If there is no free slot in those 2 working days, the session takes place within 5 working days. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays in India are not working days. A single session outside a pack can be moved by agreement, with the same 4 hours' notice.
- Late cancellation: A session cancelled less than 4 hours before it starts, or missed, is forfeited: it counts as taken.
- Classroom: A pack of 10 sessions or more includes the Lingopundit Classroom exercises and practice material for the level you are working on, from your first session until 30 days after your last session, and never longer than 30 days after your pack's validity ends.
- No refunds, no transfers: One-to-one sessions and packs are not refundable and cannot be passed on to another person.
Refunds
The Classroom can be refunded in full within 7 days of your access starting, unless you gave up the money-back guarantee early (see below); Live Practice is not refundable. The details, including purchases of both together, are in our Refunds & Cancellations.
Money-back guarantee
Every Classroom purchase comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee, counted from the day your Classroom access starts.
- Limited access while the guarantee runs. During these 7 days the first lessons of the course are open (A1: lessons 1 to 5; A2 and B1: lessons 1 to 4), and the further lessons open afterwards. Don't worry: every feature of the course (video classes, notes and exercises) works as usual in the lessons that are open to you.
- You can give up the guarantee to continue. If you are sure about the course, you can give up your guarantee at any time during the 7 days, from any locked lesson. We then email you a confirmation link. Once you confirm through that link, every lesson opens at once, and that purchase can no longer be refunded under the guarantee.
- After the 7 days every lesson opens by itself, unless the purchase was refunded.
- If you bought the Classroom together with Live Practice, the Live Practice exercises stay open throughout.
Using the Classroom fairly
Use the Classroom to learn German for yourself. Please be respectful in live classes and in messages to us. Do not try to get around the access rules, open pages you have not bought, or disrupt the site for others.
Doubts, comments and other posts
Students can post doubts, replies and voice notes that other students see under their username, and lesson ratings and comments that other students see under their name. You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything that:
- belongs to someone else and you have no right to share (for example pages from a textbook, or someone else’s photo or voice);
- is obscene, sexual, harassing, hateful, defamatory, invades someone’s privacy, or is harmful to children;
- promotes violence, discrimination on grounds of religion, caste, ethnicity or gender, gambling, or anything illegal;
- is false or misleading, pretends to be someone else, or contains contact details, links, advertising or software viruses;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries, or public order.
Every post is checked before it is published, and we may refuse or remove any post that breaks these rules, and suspend or close the account of someone who repeatedly does. You keep the rights to what you post; you allow us to show it in the Classroom, and to use it, without your username or name, to improve our courses. You can delete your own posts at any time.
Complaints about a post: use “Report” on the post or write to our Grievance Officer at contact@lingopundit.com. We confirm a complaint within 24 hours and deal with it within 15 days; a post showing someone in a sexual or intimate way, or pretending to be someone, is removed within 24 hours of a complaint.
AI feedback
Feedback on your writing and some answers in the Help panel are produced by AI from our own material. We check how it works, but it can make mistakes; it is a learning aid, not an exam result or a certificate.
Live classes (Live Practice and B2)
Join with the name you enrolled with, be respectful to your trainer and the group, and do not record, photograph or share the class or the other students. A student who disrupts the class may be removed from it.
Live classes are recorded. By joining, you agree that we record them and may use the recordings for teaching and quality, and short excerpts in our marketing (for example on our website or social media). If you would rather not appear in marketing, tell us at contact@lingopundit.com and we will leave you out of excerpts used from then on.
Our content
All videos, notes, exercises, images and text in the Classroom are © Lingopundit. Buying a course lets you use them for your own learning during your access. It does not give you any other rights to them.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep the Classroom available and the teaching accurate, but we cannot promise that the site will never be down or that you will pass a particular exam. If something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we will do our best to fix it. Our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the course concerned.
Law
If you have a complaint, please write to our Grievance Officer first at contact@lingopundit.com so we can put it right. We confirm every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Chandigarh, India, have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. Changes never take away access you have already paid for.
