In German, the letter y is not like the English "y" in "yes". It sounds like "ü" — a rounded "ee" sound, like saying "ee" with your lips pushed forward into a small circle.
How to make this sound
Try this: say "ee" (like in "see"), but while holding the sound, round your lips like you're about to whistle. That's the German "y" / "ü" sound — "eww". It doesn't exist in English or Hindi, so you need to train your mouth to make it!
